The Oasis

The Oasis Centre, opened by Newquay Methodist Church in September 2025, is a sustainable new worship and community hub on Pargolla Road that has quickly become a welcoming space for people across the town.

Officially opened with a dedication service and community open day attended by more than 150 people, the centre features a flexible worship area, meeting rooms for community groups, and a large kitchen designed to bring people together over conversation and refreshments.

Outside, a peaceful public reflection garden includes seating, planting, a herb area and an olive tree that serves as a memory tree.

The building also includes a fully accessible Changing Places toilet, helping make the centre one of the most inclusive community facilities in the Newquay area.

Funded through the sale of three former Methodist churches, the Oasis Centre replaces the church’s temporary hub in Nansledan and marks an exciting new chapter for Methodist ministry and community life in Newquay.
